What began as a possible consulting project has led, after nearly two months of conversations and negotiations, to the creation of a new Social Enterprise Venture.
CleanTurn International, LLC will be headquarter in Columbus, Ohio and will begin with a strong focus on meeting the property services needs in the foreclosure market along with servicing the needs of larger property management companies in Central Ohio.
CleanTurn will have one primary nonprofit partner with which it will work to source eligible candidates for employment with CleanTurn. As such, CleanTurn’s focus is to provide employment opportunities for individuals with significant background challenges and who are chronically unemployed and at risk of homelessness.
CleanTurn is a privately owned company and is proud to announce it has raised all the start-up capital required to ensure a successful operational launch January 1st. CleanTurn is close to signing its first major customer in Columbus and looks forward to sharing more about this in the New Year.
One of CleanTurn’s owners, John Rush, has been chosen to spearhead the efforts as CleanTurn’s first CEO/President. John’s experience in leading and successfully growing Cleanslate and 180 Properties in Chicago have prepared him for this third venture. Speaking about this opportunity, John said, “I look forward to applying the lessons I learned at Cleanslate and 180 Properties to this new venture. I am very excited to see a for-profit model which is intentional about integrating a social mission into its DNA. I am equally excited to be partnered with seasoned business and community leaders who share the passion of leveraging solid business practices for social good.”
